10 Best Costco Buys for Kids

Costco is great for just about about any situation that involves food! For families, parties, but it is especially great for kids too. I have found many products over the years that I keep coming back to. I am excited to share my top 10 favorite kids buys at Costco that I keep going back for!

Prices and sizes of products at your local Costco may vary.

Here are 10 of my favorite buys for kids.

#1: Kirkland Organic Apple Sauces Pouches

  • $9.99 for 24 Pouches in a Box
  • 3.17 ounces per pouch
  • Approximately $.42 per pouch

This particular item is probably my best buy and my most frequently purchased item! Not to mention, it is a steal at about $.42 per pouch. When I go to any other store that sells similar products such as these they cost me at least $1.00 per pouch, if not more. Most every kid loves applesauce and these small packets are perfect for at home or on the go. With two kids I keep at least four pouches in my diaper bag at all times. They go really fast.

#2: Materne GoGo Squeeze Organic Variety Pack

  • $10.99 for 20 Pouches
  • 3.2 ounces per pouch
  • Approximately $.55 per pouch

My kids love this variety pack for GoGo Squeeze pouches. It offers the flavors of AppleApple, AppleStrawberry, AppleBanana and AppleCinnamon. The AppleStrawberry and Apple Banana go first always. These pouches are a little bit more expensive than the all Apple Pouches Kirkland Brand, however, my kids love the flavor variety.

#3: Kirkland Monterey Jack Cheese

  • $4.99 for 2lbs or 32 ounces
  • $2.50/lbs or approximately $.16 per ounce

This is an extremely great buy! Especially since Monterey Jack Cheese is my family’s favorite. We have been making a bunch of quesadillas lately as well and go through it very fast. This cheese can cost substantially more at other retailers.

#4: Tortilla Fresca Organic Uncooked Flour Tortillas

  • $6.99 for 36 Tortillas
  • Approximately $.19 per tortilla

To go with all the cheese we purchase – these tortillas are amazing and our absolute favorite! We love the fresh taste and texture of cooking them ourselves. They are amazing tortillas for the quesadillas we make, but for anything else as well. The uncooked tortillas freeze very well and if too many are cooked – they are great reheated as well.

#5: Kirkland Organic Strawberry Spread

  • $6.89 for a 42 ounce jar
  • Approximately $.16 per ounce

This item is a staple in our house. It’s a big jar, it’s organic and the price can’t be beat anywhere (at least that I can find). I can find 8 ounce jars at other retailers going for about the same price. We eat a lot of toast with this as well as peanut butter and jelly sandwiches… which leads me to my next item.

#6: Kirkland Organic Creamy Peanut Butter

  • $9.99 for 2 / 28 ounce jars
  • Approximately $.18 per ounce or $2.85 per pound

This peanut butter is nice and smooth and great for sandwiches and peanut butter cookies. It is a lot of peanut butter for a great price.

#7: Annie’s Organic Macaroni and Cheese Variety Pack

  • $12.95 for 12 / 6 ounce boxes
  • Approximately $1.08 per box

For Annie’s Macaroni and Cheese, this price is absolutely amazing! It’s $3 – $4 per box at other retailers. This package comes with three different flavors – 4 boxes each of Shells and Real Aged Cheddar, Shells and White Cheddar and Macaroni and Cheese. The variety pack is great except when your daughter’s favorite color is orange and she will only eat the macaroni and cheese that comes in the orange box! It is great for kids and adults alike and you can make one box or many at a time depending on the size group.

#8: Victoria White Linen Marinara Sauce

  • $8.99 for 2 / 40 oz jars
  • Approximately $4.50 per jar or $.11 per ounce

We LOVE this marinara sauce. It is super fresh tasting and can be used straight from the jar with no doctoring up required. It’s great for spaghetti night or also a fast lunch for my kids as well. If my daughters aren’t eating well – noodles with red sauce as they call it, with cure that. They will eat this until they can’t eat anymore. I keep this particular item stocked in my pantry at all times.

#9: Garofalo Organic Pasta Variety Pack

  • $8.79 6 / 1.1 pound packs
  • Approximately $1.47 per pound of pasta

You can never go wrong with keeping a variety of pasta in the house. This variety pack includes Penne Ziti, Gemelli and Casarecce pastas. It is great with the Victoria White Linen Marinara Sauce on it.

#10: Kirkland Baby Wipes

  • $19.99 for 9 packs of 100 wipes or 900 wipes
  • Approximately $2.22 per pack of 100 or $.02 per individual wipe

These wipes are strong and tough and do not tear easily. With two little ones I go through wipes like crazy. One still wears diapers and the other, a little older and out of diapers, probably uses just as many on messes! Nine hundred wipes last me a long time and I don’t have to worry about buying them all the time.

Buying in bulk saves so much time from going to other retailers more often and money because the value is much great per product. Try a few of these items, you won’t be disappointed. Let me know what you think!
