The Best Olive Oil Dips You Must Try!

Roasted Garlic Olive Oil Dip

Olive oil is so smooth, delicate tasting and just plain delicious! It has such a distinct aroma and flavor that’s irresistible. A good bottle of extra virgin olive oil doesn’t last long in my house and a lot of it has to do with me. Not only is it prefect for cooking, but it’s great as a snack or appetizer. Use it as a dipping sauce for a great loaf of french bread. Grab the extra virgin olive oil and pour a bit into a small bowl and add some salt and pepper, maybe some Italian seasoning and Parmesan cheese – pull out the french bread and yum – the perfect snack or appetizer! Olive oil dips are amazing!

Over the years, I have experimented a bit making different olive oil dips and I have come up with three that I just adore. Two of the dips are an easy, add the ingredients, and mix together dip. Super fast and super easy! They are amazing, but the third one is outstanding with a mixture of roasted garlic and freshly grated Parmesan cheese. It takes a little more work and time to make, but it’s well worth it.

I find, I can never make enough! Whether it’s just for me or my family or for a dinner party. I have a two and a four year old that love it too. It’s a good thing these dips are easy to make and has ingredients that I typically have on hand.

This particular olive oil dip has just a few ingredients and takes a little time to make, but it is so tasty! This is my favorite of all the dips. What takes time is making the roasted garlic – just 20 minutes or so, but it makes all the difference! I actually peel all of the garlic first, coat it in olive oil and then place on a baking sheet. While in a 350 degree oven, I grate fresh parmesan cheese and add to my serving dish along with a bit of salt and pepper.

After the garlic has been roasting for a few minutes I take it out to cool. When it is cool enough to handle, mash it and dice it up into small pieces. I like to keep mine a little on the bigger side as I love the texture. Place the garlic with you other ingredients on your serving dish. Next, add your favorite extra virgin olive oil, mix the ingredients up and bit and then break off a chunk of french bread and taste! Yummm!!!

This olive oil dip is a classic, but one that I forget about too often. I love this dip, but it’s never on my radar for some reason. This dip is the quickest to put together and easiest of them all. It’s two ingredients – your favorite extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

You can’t go wrong with these extra virgin olive oil dips. They are great to mix up for a snack, appetizer or for a party – they are a crowd pleaser! Make sure to make more than you think you need, it goes fast! I made some for my two girls earlier this week and they told me “more” three times in a row and I barely got any!

I also love using the Roasted Garlic and Parmesan dip drizzled over a Caprese Salad or use it as a spread on an Italian Panini sandwich. These dips are not just for “dipping” – they can be used for so much more!

  1. Hy Chelsea, this looks fantastic, I likes them all but my favorite is the garlic one. I will definitely try them all. I always eat bread with butter or butter oil ( ghee). Olive oil dip will be better option.
